The Enterprise Hub in Glenrothes are delighted to welcome event and destination management “Rock Ya Events Group” as the latest tenants to the Hub. The office space which they now occupy, had become vacant due to the previous tenant experiencing successful growth and moving on to new premises. The timing could not have been better for Rock Ya Events’ Managing Director, Pierre Kruff – as a young entrepreneur, he had been working from home but, as any creative individual will testify, found it tricky at times.

At Rock Ya Events, Pierre and his team take care of every aspect of Event Management from conception and content management, through to execution and implementation. The company also offer a fully bespoke service in Destination Management for those seeking anything from an incentive, leisure trip or teambuilding weekend in Scotland.

With the business on the cusp of change, Pierre was looking for a space that would allow him to focus on developing Rock Ya Events Group. And as the business very much depends on strong supplier relationships as well as his ability to fully understand the client’s needs from a strong initial brief, he needed a workspace that would enable him to work in a secluded office, host supplier and client meetings but all within a creative environment.

Upon discovering Enterprise Hub Fife, Pierre realised it offered far more than simply offices for rent. The open space within the breakout area was exactly what he was looking for – an area where he could network with like-minded individuals during lunch but was free to return to his office to focus. Pierre recalls his first impression when he visited the Hub “The reception area was warm and welcoming offering a professional entrance for any client coming to visit, and the meeting rooms were ideal for any larger meetings I may need to host. The combination seemed to offer the perfect base to grow the business”.

Furthermore, by his own admission, Pierre Kruff doesn’t do standard. His approach is to create a bespoke experience for his clients which is as unique as each and every one of them, and he soon realised that Enterprise Hub Fife work with the same ethos. Each of the Hub’s tenants are offered support tailored to their business needs. The flexible work space not only offers affordable offices, events space, co-working areas and private meeting rooms but tenants can access additional support from the Fife Council Economic Development services in the form of mentoring, specialist training, networking and access to experienced business advisers.

For Pierre, this has meant he not only benefits from an affordable short-term office lease, but he has been able to engage with Business Gateway Fife advisors more readily as they regularly attend the Hub and are on hand to offer advice and support to help tenants accelerate their growth.

The German born MD’s enthusiasm is infectious, “This is precisely what I’ve been looking for! The cost of renting the office is ideal and the opportunity to network is fantastic. Having spoken to Business Gateway Fife, I’ve successfully accessed funding to support exhibiting at two event industry conferences in 2019 and received advice from SDI on expanding further into the German tourism market. I really appreciate the support that’s on offer from the Hub and I’m excited about this phase of growing the business”

Being stationed at the Hub has also meant working far more closely with web designer Steven of Digita who is currently helping Pierre to improve his website which is to be launched soon.
